The Appling County Pirates (7-1-1 overall, 5-1 Region 1-AAA) hosted the Tattnall County Battle Creek Warriors (4-4, 3-2) on Friday, October 26, with the Pirates winning 38-28. With the win the Pirates secured the second seed in the State Playoffs from Region 1-AAA.

Pirates pillage Warriors, secure second seed
The Pirates will have an open week on Friday, November 2 and will end the regular season on Friday, November 9 on the road against Southeast Bulloch (4-4, 2-3).

The Warriors were able to get the first score of the game on a 14-yard touchdown pass to make the score 0-7 with 5:55 left in the first quarter.
The Pirates answered with a touchdown drive of their own ending in a one-yard run by Vernon Dasher to make the score, with the extra point by Israel Jaramillo, 7-7 with 5:01 remaining in the first quarter.
The Pirates took their first lead of the game on a 38-yard field goal by Jaramillo to make the score 10-7 with 1:41 remaining in the first quarter.
The Warriors regained the lead on a two-yard touchdown run making the score 10-14 with 5:41 left in the second quarter.
The Pirates were the next to score on a 23-yard touchdown pass from Dasher to Anthony Rayner to make the score, with the extra point, 17-14 with 1:21 remaining in the second quarter.
The next score came on a 13-yard touchdown pass by the Warriors to make the score 17-21 with 11:11 remaining in the third quarter.
The Pirates retook the lead on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Dasher to Rayner making the score 24-21 with 9:22 left in the third quarter.
Pirate Jordan Vann added the next score on a 21-yard touchdown run to make the score 30-21 with 11:33 remaining in the fourth quarter.
The Warriors were the next to score on a one-yard touchdown run to make the score 30-28 with 8:26 left in the fourth quarter.
The Pirates scored the final points of the game on a six-yard touchdown run by Dasher to make the final score 38-28.

Leading rushers for the Pirates were Jordan Vann eight rushes for 143 yards and one touchdown, Vernon Dasher 17 rushes for 108 yards and two touchdowns, Justin Moore eight rushes for 62-yards, Anthony Rayner one rush for 12 yards.
Leading receivers were Anthony Rayner three catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns, Jordan Vann two catches for 59 yards.
