Burglar hits local community hard
According to Appling County Sheriff Benny Deloach on Sunday night, October 14, a burglar struck several houses near the Zion Baptist Church community. The thief burglarized three different locations. Taken in the burglaries were four wheelers, a shotgun, chain saws, drills, a utility trailer, a television, tools and a microwave. Appling County Sheriff Investigators with the assistance of Tattnall County Investigators and Glennville Police Officers solved the cases and the stolen property has been returned to the owners.
Warrants have been issued for Chad E. Dasher, age 37, of Glennville. Dasher has been eluding officers since October 16. The last information law enforcement had is that he abandoned a stolen vehicle in Bacon County and then stole another vehicle. When captured Dasher will be facing several stolen vehicle and burglary charges.
