Sheriff Benny Deloach advises that he received an anonymous phone call from a hunter on October 9, 2012 advising him about some possible marijuana plants.
On Wednesday October 10, 2012 Sheriff Deloach’s officers found the marijuana plants. Further investigation led to the arrest of John Gregory Tillman, age 30 of DM Tillman Road, Surrency, Georgia. Tillman has been charged with Felony Possession and Manufacturing Marijuana.
The Sheriff’s Office confiscated 125 marijuana plants, 8.25 lbs. of processed marijuana, grow lights, pots and other equipment used in growing marijuana. The street value of the marijuana is estimated at $170,000 dollars.
Sheriff Deloach asks that you report any suspicious activity. Remember drugs do not have a respect of persons.
