Those of you who remember Hot Chocolate at the Baxley Lions Club Rodeo last year will be glad to find out that he retired undefeated. He is now making a lot of cows happy and learning to be a good father. He is making more money in retirement than he did on the rodeo circuit.
Taking his place at the Lions Rodeo on October 12 and 13th, is 700. This bull also has never been ridden for a full eight seconds. He does not like having such an anonymous sounding name and this makes him meaner than ever. He wants to be called 007.
If you want to take his picture up close and personal, you need to arrive at the Baxley Lions Fairground when the gates open at 6:00 p.m. The back lot will be closed to spectators at 7:00 p.m. The Grand Rodeo Parade begins at 7:30. Admission is $10.00. Children ages five and under are free.
All proceeds beyond expenses go to the Baxley Lions Club, a non-profit organization whose main cause is the blind and vision impaired. The Lions Club motto is: We Serve
