GA DOT bringing major transportation improvements to Appling and 11 other counties

More than $50 million in new highway capacity, new bridges and needed road resurfacings across Georgia were announced by the Georgia Department of Transportation.  Among them was more than eight miles of State Route 27 (U.S. HWY 341) resurfacing in Appling County, for $3.8 million by the Everett Dykes Grassing Co., Inc., of Cochran.

Construction details and lane closure schedules will be forthcoming before work begins.
