The Pirates will be traveling this Friday, September 14 to face the Screven County Gamecocks (2-0) in Sylvania with the game scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Screven County is coming off a 41-21 win over Effingham County (0-2) and a win over Groves (0-2) on August 31.
The Pirates have lost the last three meetings between the two teams, the most recent a 21-33 loss in 2003.
Scoring recap
The Pirates’ first score would come on a 33-yard touchdown throw by quarterback Vernon Dasher to Anthony Rayner. Israel Jaramillo added the extra point to make the score 7-0 with 7:55 left in the first quarter.
The next score came in the second quarter on a one-yard touchdown run by Pirate running-back Jordan Vann capping a 51-yard drive to make the score 14-0 with 9:03 remaining in the quarter.
Dasher would add a 28-yard rushing touchdown later in the second quarter to make the score 21-0.
The next score of the contest had Vann score on a two-yard run to give the Pirates a 28-0 lead with 10:53 left in the fourth quarter.
The Panthers responded with their first score of the game on a 16-yard touchdown pass to make the score, with the two-point conversion, 28-8 with 7:51 left in the game.
The Pirates answered with a scoring drive of their own ending in a 41-yard touchdown run by Rayner to make the score 35-8 with 6:18 left.
The final score of the game came on a six-yard touchdown run by the Panthers. They would add the two-point conversion to make the final score 35-16.

Leading rushers were Dasher 129 yards on 25 carries, Vann 49 yards on eight carries, Justin Moore 46 yards on six carries, Rayner 41 yards on one carry and Jason Dhaliwal 22 yards on eight carries.
Leading receivers were Rayner 33 yards on one catch, Ronald Handsome 30 yards on two catches, Moore 16 yards on two catches, Dennis Williams 16 yards on two catches, Trey Newkirk 14 yards on four catches and Heisman Johnson five yards on one catch.
Pirate quarterbacks were Dasher nine completions on 15 attempts for 91 yards, one touchdown and Dhaliwal three completions on eight attempts for 23 yards.
