Charles Glendon (Pee Wee) Stone
Charles Glendon (Pee Wee) Stone, 70, of Enterprise, AL, died Saturday, August 18, 2012. A native of Appling County but had resided in Enterprise, Alabama for the past 16 years. Pee Wee was born Aug. 18, 1942 in Appling County and was the youngest of 13 children and was the last surviving child of the late Jesse T. Stone and Lilly Mae Reeves Stone. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Enterprise, AL.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Stone of Enterprise, AL; three sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Deana Stone of Tuscaloosa, AL, Rodney and Tracie Stone of Milledgeville and Stacey and Cathy Stone of Helena; one daughter and son-in-law, Katina and Shawn Alexander of Moore, S.C.; two step-sons, Nicholas Bowden of Atlanta and Jeffrey Bowden of Daleville, AL; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Grave side services were held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Nunn-Wheeler Cemetery in McIntyre, Ga. with Dr. Michael Mynatt and Dr. Mack Amis, Jr. officiating.
Active pallbearers were Jesse Stone, Terrell Stone, Ronnie Stone, Thomas Stone, Mickey Stone and Timothy Stone.
Remembrances may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 500 Alberta Street, Enterprise, Alabama 36330.
