Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary to be celebrated

Nancy and Ken Thornton, Sr. will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 4.

A drop-in reception will be held to honor the couple from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at their home located at 1227 Thornton Road. They have one son and daughter-in-law, Corky and Karen Thornton and two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Gary McDonald and Nancy Lynn and Dwayne Harper. The couple is also blessed with five wonderful grandchildren and nine precious great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
