God gave each person free will to choose and make our own decisions.
I believe God also gave each soul a purpose for their life. It is up to each individual to figure out what that purpose may be.
There are advocates for the needy, the sick, the homeless, the hungry, the elderly, the children, the abused and I am sure for whatever cause touches a person’s heart. My question is WHY…do people criticize the advocates for animals?
Personally, I have never met a domesticated animal that would not give a person unconditional love if it were allowed to do so.
However, I have met many a human beings that cannot do the same. I believe God smiles on the people that speak up for the animals, because these people have compassion in their hearts.
As for the vegetarian issue…that is just a personal choice made from the hearts of people that cannot bear the thought of killing and taking a life, granted it’s not a human life, but it is a life all the same.
I myself am not a vegetarian, but if I had to go out and kill an animal for the purpose of eating then most likely I would be one.
So, as you said, “The very ones that have enough money to wipe out hunger throughout the world, and yet they turn their head and seek animal rights,” may not be using “their money” on human rights, but they are using “their money” on a cause that is close to their heart, which is a part of God’s plan as in free will to choose.
Compassion comes in many forms and fashions and I don’t think God would frown on any heart that is trying to do well in this world.
Do you?
Thank you,
Lisa Mann Carter
P.S. I also believe there is a place in Heaven for animals. It may not be “our” heaven, but it is a heaven and we will see our beloved pets again, (but that’s a whole other argument).
