The City of Baxley will hold a Called Meeting on August 28, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 282 E. Parker Street, Baxley, Georgia. The primary purpose of the Called Meeting is a Public Hearing as well as any other business that may come before the Mayor and Council. The Public Hearing will offer opportunities for comments on an application for annexation on the proposed zoning Business (B-2), on property owned by Woody Folsom located at 1683 Golden Isle West. Legal description as follows:
TRACT ONE: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lots No. 330 and 331 of the Second Land District of Appling County, Georgia, consisting of 8.109 acres, more or less, and being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a nail marking the intersection of the extended centerline of Doris Street with the centerline of the Norfolk Southern Railroad right of way(150' ROW), thence running North 49 degrees 47' 38" West a distance of 239.39 feet to a point located on the northern railroad right of way being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence along and with said railroad right of way North 68 degrees 03' 23" West 881.71 feet to a point; thence turning North 21 degrees 58' 53" East 446.53 feet to a point on the southern right of way of U.S. Highway 341/SR 27 (100' ROW); thence turning and running along and with said highway right of way South 68degrees 01' 06" East 701.23 feet to a point; thence turning South 00 degrees 03' 09" East 481.08 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Said property is subject to a 35 ft. utility easement along the northern boundary thereof as shown on the hereinafter referred to plat of survey.
Said property being more particularly described as all of TRACT 1 on that certain plat of survey by M. Jerry Tomberlin, GRLS No. 2942, dated February 3, 2012, incorporated herein for a more full and complete description and all other purposes.
TRACT TWO: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lots No. 330 and 343 of the Second Land District of Appling County, Georgia, consisting of 7.075 acres, more or less, and being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a nail marking the intersection of the extended centerline of Doris Street with the centerline of the Norfolk Southern Railroad right of way (150' ROW), thence running North 49 degrees 47' 38" West a distance of 239.39 feet to a point located on the northern railroad right of way; thence along and with said railroad right of way North 68 degrees 03' 23" West 881.71 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing along and with said railroad right of way North 68 degrees 03' 23" West 689.88 feet to a point; thence turning North 21 degrees 59' 39" East 446.98 feet to a point on the southern right of way of U.S. Highway 341/SR 27 (100' ROW); thence turning and running along and with said highway right of way South 68 degrees 01' 06" East 689.78 feet to a point; thence turning South 21degrees 58' 53" West 446.53 feet to the Point of Beginning.
