Jesica Lynn Oliver
Jesica Lynn Oliver, 18, died in a car accident July 16, 2012. Jesica was born Apr. 22, 1994 in Jesup and had resided in Baxley since 2010. She was a member of 2013 graduating class of Appling County High School. She loved to listen to her radio; she loved her computer and loved to make people laugh. She was preceded in death by her daddy, Robert Brinson Oliver and a brother, Justin Brinson “Red” Oliver.
She left behind a son, Karloz Mortera and her very special friend, Gustavo “Angel” Mortera; her mother, Evelyn Roach; a sister, Allison Jean Oliver; brother, John Robert Oliver; sisters, Terrie Oliver and Kim Latham, all of Jesup; brother, Robin Oliver and sister, Annie Goims of Atlanta; grandparents, Eugene and Dianne Roach of Surrency and two special aunts, Imma Smith and Phyllis Oliver Jones; and two special nephews, Brinson and Trey Durance also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19 at David E. Miles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Bryant and the Rev. Chris Ogden officiating. Interment followed in Thompson Cemetery in Wayne County.
Active pallbearers were Zachary Higginbotham, Brandon Kyle Carver, Larry Ginner, James Aaron Stevens, Jason Kersey and Shane Slater.
Honorary pallbearers were the Appling County Class of 2013.
Musical selections were rendered by Jordan Ball, Katelyn Sapp, Cameron Harrelson and Ann Stone.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.

Jesica lived a good life.She loved her family dearly.she developed rickets and a growth hormone def. by the age of three.When she was in the fourth grade she saved her cousin Adriana Olivers life from being taken by being ran over by a Ford 150 truck driven by Adriana's half brother.Instead Jesica was the one that took the place.She survived that terrible incident.Later on when she got in the seventh grade she received surgery on one leg,then in the eighth grade she did the other leg.the doctor placed titanium rods thru out her whole legs.She then had two beautiful legs like she had wished for.In 2010 her life took a turn,she loss a beloved daddy that she so admired.He meant everything to her yet no one understood what loss she had to deal with,when she was starting to accept her life without her daddy,exactly two years to the day we buried her young brother at the age of 22,due to an house fire in Wayne county.Jesica had a very,very hard time accepting the death of her brother.She cried for months and at the time of her death she wanted to make her daddy and brother proud of her.She was a senior at Appling county high.She went for a physical that morning.She was going to be a ultra sound tech.She was finally starting to enjoy her life again.She had a 7month old baby boy that she left behind.I dont know what went wrong that day of JULY 16,2012,but I know it wasnt like her to run off no road way.There were no skid marks on the road at all.As many times as I and other friends have road with her she never put any lives at stake.She was a very cautions driver.Do I have questions,yes,will I get answers.I won't never get to know the truth behind the accident.BUT,GOD knows!!!!!I know in my heart that she is sad,cause she isn't here to raise her son,yet another way she is happy because she is with her daddy and brother.I also believe she will be joining GOD and that my friend goes way beyond words.Everyone that took part in Jesica's funeral I want to say Thank You for giving my only baby girl a happy home coming.She would have been so happy about the turn out,when you guys came to say GOOD-BYE to HER!!Once again THANK YOU!Evelyn Roach

Jesica was the kind of person that even if she was having a horrible day she would make you laugh. She was my bestfriend. There was so many times I would be upset and she would just make me laugh until I cried. She loved her family more than anything. She always was so proud of her baby. He meant the world to her and i know she's still watching over him. You could tell her absolutely anything and she wouldnt tell anyone.I talked to her that morning and I told her I love her and that she meant so much to me and she was one of the few people I trust I still have her number in my phone and it's still the first person her name was Bestfriend cause she was mine and i knew if I needed anything I could call her she'd answer. I lost a friend and grandpa in March she helped me threw it and told me it would never stop hurting you just have to remember you'll see them again one day that's what I keep in mind when I think of her. she was loved by so many and everyone misses her.
