The Baxley-Appling County Hospital Authority is proud and relieved to announce the payoff of two large debts owed by Appling HealthCare System.
In May of 2012, Appling HealthCare System paid back in full with interest monies borrowed from the Appling County Board of Commissioners. Other great news around Appling HealthCare, during the first week of July 2012, Appling HealthCare paid off a 13-year old bond issued in 1999 to the hospital for renovations.
CEO Dale Spell said, “With the 1999 bonds and the county loan paid off, this will infuse approximately $100,000.00 in cash per month, this cash will help stabilize cash flow and insure payroll, deductions and vendors are paid on time.”
“We are very thankful to have been able to pay this indebtedness off and have seen a big turnaround in the financial picture during the past several months”, stated Authority Chairperson Peggy Miles.
