Laura Olliff Darby, 91, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was held at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street on Tuesday, March 15 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Methodist

Mrs. Darby was born on May 30, 1919 in Appling County. She graduated from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Darby, wife of the late Sanford Darby, Jr., was predeceased by her son, Edward Darby. She was the daughter of the late Remer Nichols Olliff and Eva Mae Cannady Olliff.
Mrs. Darby is survived by her son, Sanford Darby, III (Sandra) of Macon; many precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
