Charlotte M. Maley
Charlotte M. Maley, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 following an extended illness. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and sang in the choir. Mrs. Maley also served on the Coffee County Board of Health, Coffee Regional Hospital Auxiliary and was a devoted nurse for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Maley and a grandson, Charles Maley.
Survivors include her brother, Leon Lefebvre (Angele) of Brussels, Belgium; her children, Danny Maley (Carol) of Douglas, Bill Maley (Qunygh) of Surprise, AZ, Joe Maley of Sunbury and Tommy Maley of Hampton, Bernard Maley (Elaine) of Sunbury, Michele Little of Hilliard, FL, Patrick Maley (Kathy) of Yulee, FL, Charles Maley of St. Simons Island, Timothy Maley (Pok) of Eagle River, AK, Jimmy Maley (Shirley) of Hazlehurst and Anne Marie Harper (Mike) of Colonels Island; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation took place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 29 at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas.
A funeral mass was held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed in Douglas City Cemetery.
Sims Funeral Home, Inc. in Douglas was in charge of arrangements.
