Strong storm rips through community

A strong storm packing high winds and heavy rain ripped through parts of Baxley and Appling County on Monday evening.

Pictured is a tangled mess of tree limbs on top of a house that toppled during the storm. Luckily the house, located on Jones Street, was vacant during the storm. The giant tree caused damage to the roof, but the owner of the house stated that the drywall inside the house was not even cracked.
