At the state track meet, held in Jefferson, the boy’s track team finished in 7th place overall in the AA division.
Scoring points for the Pirates were Jordan Vann 7th place in the 200m with a time of 22.53.
CJ Nails placed 6th in the shot put with a toss of 49’ 4”.
Kevin Johnson leaped 21’ 2” to a 5th place finish in the long jump and won the state championship in the 300 intermediate hurdles with a time of 38.28 seconds.
That time makes him the 10th fastest 300m hurdler in the state of GA in all classifications.
The 4x400m relay team came across the finish line in 4th place with their fastest time of the year with a time of 3:23.34 seconds. Relay members were Justin Moore, Jordan Vann, Kevin Johnson, and Derrix Henry.
