Dear Editor,
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I offer congratulations to state Rep. Roger B. Lane, of St. Simons Island, on his appointment by Gov. Nathan Deal as a Superior Court judge in the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, which includes Appling, Camden, Glynn, Jeff Davis and Wayne counties.
Congratulates newly appointed judge
Judge Lane practiced law for in the Brunswick Circuit from 1976 until his appointment as Judge. He served eight years on the Glynn County Board of Education and eight years in the Georgia House of Representative, including service as chair of the House Reapportionment Committee.
After attending Brunswick Junior College and Georgia State University, Judge Lane earned his law degree from Mercer University. He and his wife, Leigh Ann, have three children and a dozen bright and beautiful granddaughters.
Georgia’s Superior Court judges fulfill a vital responsibility in the administration of justice in our state. With boundless confidence, we look forward to Judge Lane’s fulfillment of his new calling to judicial service.
