Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Burkett are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kenya Burkett, to Phillip Hamilton, son of Mrs. Gertrude Hamilton and the late Mr. Willie Hamilton.
The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Nettie M. Smith and the late William H. Smith, Sr. Her paternal grandparents are Alfreida Burkett and the late Rudolph Burkett.

Kenya is a 1993 honor graduate of Appling County Comprehensive High School. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Kenya is employed with AT and T Advertising Solutions in Atlanta, where she is a billing specialist.
The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Brown. His paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hamilton.
Phillip is a 1990 honor graduate of Thomson High School. He is a graduate of Tuskegee University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He also received his Master of Science in Engineering with an emphasis in Engineering Management from Mercer University. Phillip is currently employed with Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, where he is an engineer and is also a licensed Real Estate Agent. Phillip is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc where he is vice-president of his chapter.
The wedding will be on Saturday, May 5, at 4:00 p.m. at Macedonia Church in Macon. Wedding and reception are by invitation.
