2012 Tree Fest calendar of events

April 13 Baxley Tree Fest “STREET DANCE,” admission $2/per person, age 3 and up;

6:00 p.m. gates open: gate one (North end MLK), gate two (Oak Street) and gate three (South end MLK);

6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Music - Stage.

8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The south’s hottest band, “The Swingin’ Medallions” – Stage;

12:00 a.m. Festival area will be closed to all visitors for cleanup.

Saturday Events:

April 14 Boy Scout Troop 472 Pancake Breakfast;

7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the First Methodist Church. Tickets $5;

Tree Trek One Mile Fun Run and 5K;

7:00 a.m. Race Day Registration at 7:00 a.m. One Mile Fun Run begins at 8:00 a.m., 5K at 8:30 a.m.

April 14 Sixth Annual Tree Cruzin’ Classic Car Show at 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Registration and Check in. Judging will begin at 9:30 a.m.

April 14 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Airplane rides and discovery flights at Baxley Municipal Airport.

10:00 a.m. Welcome and announcement of 2012 Miss Free Fest Queens – Stage;

10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Gail Hursey School of Dance performance – Stage;

11:30-12:30 p.m. Third annual Tree Fest Turtle Race – Stage;

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. second annual Free Fest Pedal Cart Races – South end MLK;

12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Mark the Magic Man Magic Show – Stage;

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Encore Rhythm and Moves – Stage;

2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Gene’s Karate School – Stage;

2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mark the Magic Man Magic Show – Stage;
