The family of Winston and Lila Everett are proud to announce the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary. On April 7, 1962 they were united in marriage at the bride’s family home with the ceremony being performed by Winston’s father, the late Reverend O.B. Everett, Sr.
The couple began their life together in Brunswick. They then returned to Baxley for many years before moving to Athens, Alabama, and also Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. The couple moved back to Baxley in 1990 where they have remained.
They have three children, Alan Everett (Ann Keels) of Glenville, Pam Thomas (Keith) of Baxley, and Bryan Everett (deceased). They also have four grandchildren, Beth and Abby Everett, Amber Griffis (Josh) and Kayla Thomas. They are active members of Baxley Free Will Baptist Church where Winston serves as a deacon. A dinner celebration will be held on April 7, at 5:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Baxley Free Will Baptist Church. Some local invitations have been sent however friends and relatives are invited to attend. Your presence at this occasion will be your gift to the couple.
