Pirate players named all-region

The Appling County Pirate basketball team advanced to the State AA playoffs and finished with an overall record of 15-12 and 8-8 in Region 2AA.

The Pirates had five members named to the All Region Basketball Teams from Region 2AA including senior Ibn Sumner first team all region, sophomore Kevin Johnson honorable mention, junior Ronald Handsome honorable mention, sophomore CJ Alexander honorable mention and junior Heisman Johnson honorable mention.

Congratulations to the Pirate players on this accomplishment and on a great season.
