Maria Sheffield, a Republican candidate for Congress in Georgia’s 12th Congressional District, made a stop in Appling County on March 7 to speak at the South Georgia Republican Luncheon.
Following redistricting, Appling will now be a part of the 12th Congressional District. After the event, Sheffield sat down for an on-camera interview with The Baxley News Banner’s Cameron Harrelson where she talked about a range of issues like ObamaCare and Energy Independence. In her race for Georgia Insurance Commissioner in 2010, Maria Sheffield was on the ballot for both the Republican Primary and the Republican Primary Run-off. For both elections, Maria won the 12th Congressional District.
