Eugenia Pareigis Virusky, 92, of Crescent, formally of Baxley, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Southeast Georgia Medical Center in Brunswick. Mrs. Virusky was born in Crescent, PA to the late John Huston and Alice Belski Pareigis. She was a graduate of St. Frances School of Nursing. In 1952, Mrs. Virusky moved to Baxley with her husband, Dr. Edmund J. Virusky and served as his nurse and office manager. After Dr. Virusky’s death she resided in Appling and McIntosh counties.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte V. Floyd of Cedar Pointe; one son, LTC (Ret.) Edmund J. Virusky of Alexandria, VA; three grandchildren, Dr. Grady Floyd, Dr. Christopher Virusky and Carolyn V. King; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Virusky and Hadley Virusky.
Grave side services will be held from Omega Cemetery with Father Keith O’Neill officiating. A memorial service for family and close friends was held Thursday, March 3 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Williams Catholic Church on St. Simons Island. Mrs. Louis Dyer rendered musical selections.
