Turn your spring cleaning into cash
This is a great opportunity for you to get a jump-start on your spring-cleaning and turn it into cash! Georgia’s Longest Yard Sale, the “Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale,” will take place March 9-10 along U.S. Highway 341, the Golden Isles Parkway. The 220+-mile yard sale will link peach-growing counties in middle Georgia to the beaches of the Golden Isles, with stops in several communities along the way.
The Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale in Baxley will feature vendors selling everything from great food, antiques, locally crafted items, spring sales at participating local merchants, to traditional yard sale fare. Official Yard Sale sites in Baxley will be located at designated areas at the City Gym, City Hall, portions of the courthouse parking lot and the Chamber of Commerce; other official vendors will be located throughout Appling County that will be setup using an official Peaches to the Beaches yard sign obtained from the Baxley-Appling County Board of Tourism. The Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Official Yard Sale Maps for the Baxley- Appling County sites will be available at the Chamber on Friday, March 9. Visitors and Treasurer Seekers planning to attend can participate in the Official “Shop ‘Til You Drop” contest for a chance to win great prizes.
