Appling Co. Elementary District Science Fair Winners announced
On Thursday, February 17, Appling County Elementary School Local Science Fair winners traveled to South Georgia College in Douglas to participate in the Regional Science Fair.
There were many great projects! The results are as follows: Fourth Place, Alexis Moore; Third Place, Cheyanne Chancey, Kamry Copeland, Phillip Dang, Tamothy Grant, Zoey Johnson, Cally Kirkland, Brycen Lee, Gracie Lewis, Calli Mercier, Deve Reddy, Nya Spearman, Damian Tanelus, and Kaitlyn Wiggins; Second Place, Emma Britt, Cameron Ellis, Leah Hutcheson, Madysen McLellan, Natalie Smiley, Robert Smith, Eric Vann, and Aida Valencia; and First Place, Jason Ammons, Sydney Cauley, Hailey Cortes, Ryan Hayes, Samuel Hughes, Elisabeth Peeler, Cydney Rentz, Geavonna Starr, and Ronnie Aaron White.
Samuel Hughes from Miss Warren’s Science class won Overall Third Place in the Fifth Grade, and Hailey Cortes from Mrs. Pearce’s Science class won Overall Honorable Mention in the Third Grade.
ACES is very proud of these students! Thank you to all of the parents and teachers who accompanied the students to the District Fair.
