Williams and Wooten to exchange vows
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin B. Williams of Rockmart are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mya Nicole Williams, to R. Gregory Wooten of Rome, son of Alretta Wooten of Baxley and the late Rufus Wooten.
Miss Williams is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Williams, Florence Williams and the late Rev. Calvin Williams Sr. She is the sister of Alegna Williams of Rockmart and Justin Williams of Dallas.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Rockmart High School and in 2007 earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Southern University. Mya is a Registered Nurse and is employed with Floyd Medical Center in Rome.
The groom-elect is a 1988 graduate of Appling County High School and graduated from Albany State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Care Administration. He also obtained a master’s degree in 2010 from Troy University in Public Administration with a concentration in Education.
He is a Health Careers Coordinator at Blue Ridge AHEC in Rome.
Greg proposed in Savannah on a moonlit riverboat cruise.
The couple will exchange vows at a ceremony that will take place March 12 at The Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville. Reception will follow at Clarence Brown Conference Center in Cartersville. They will honeymoon in the Bahamas.
