The Appling County Lady Pirates ended the 2011-2012 regular season with a record of 10-15 overall and 5-13 in Region 2AA play.

Lady Pirates end regular season, win first round of Region Tournament
The Lady Pirates first game of the week came against the Lady Yellow Jackets of Jeff Davis (24-1, 18-0) on Friday, February 10 with the Lady Pirates losing 47-59.
The Lady Pirates final game of the regular season would come on the road against the Wayne County Lady Yellow Jackets (10-13, 3-7 Region 2A-AAAA) on Saturday, February 11 with the Lady Pirates losing 52-64.
The Lady Pirates are the eighth seed in the Region 2AA tournament and defeated the number nine seed Toombs County on Monday, February 13 by a score of 45-38. With the win the Lady Pirates will advance to the next round of the tournament scheduled for Tuesday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m.
Leading the Lady Pirates were Briyanna Brantley with 18 points and Alexus Boles with 13 points.
Briyanna Brantley was also named to the GACA Junior All-Star Game which is scheduled to be held in March with more information to be shared at a later time. Congratulations to Briyanna on a great accomplishment.
