David Rook
David Rook, 31, of Jacksonville, Florida, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Rook was born in Jacksonville, Fla. on March 17, 1979. He was employed as a service installer with Comcast. David was preceded in death by his dad, Richard Jones.
Survivors include his mother, Sherry Jones-Heath and step-father, Terry of Jacksonville, Fla.; father, David C. Rook, Jr. and wife, Valerie of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Selena Rook of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Richard Jones and wife, Jerry Lynne, Joseph Jones, Ryan Jones, Daniel Rook and Jason Dingler, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Edith Watson of Jacksonville, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Robert and Debbie Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19 in the chapel of David E. Miles Funeral Home with the Revs. Jonathon Cox and Phillip Osteen officiating. Interment followed in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ray Lightsey, George Lightsey, William Lightsey, James Lightsey, David Gilley, Clint Bowen, Justin Watson and Henry Youngblood.
Musical selections were rendered by a CD selection.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
