John L. Bollinger
John L. Bollinger, 66, of Jesup, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence. The Howard County, Md. native had lived in Baxley for 25 years, Wayne County the past 6 years and was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a truck driver with Trucks, Inc. and a police officer for Montgomery County, Md. He enjoyed working in his yard, going to antique car shows, and the outdoors. His mother, Margaret C. Bollinger and a stepdaughter, Katrina Wood preceded him in death.
Survivors are two daughters Angie B. (Wally) Bishop of Jesup, Jami (Steve) Cook of Selma, N.C.; a son, John Bollinger of Jesup; a step-son, Alan (Tammy) Copeland of Brunswick; his father, Harold S. Bollinger of Frederick, Md.; two brothers, Harold (Anita) Bollinger, Jr. of Thurmont, Md., Randy (Eva Jean) Bollinger of Woodsboro, Md.; a sister, Nancy (Bennie) Dunaway of New Brockton, Ala.; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Alan Copeland and the Rev. Stacy Teston officiating.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, Ga. was in charge of arrangements.

Alan, I always thought John was a good man!I just saw him before Christmas and he was doing great. I found out about him on 1-25-2012 when I was reading the Banner. I am very sorry!
