Dear Editor,
It’s a new year, what will we do now? Will our attitudes, feelings, thoughts or concerns for one another change? We talk about what’s happening in America. We need to look in the mirror at ourselves. We need to change. God didn’t plan it this way. It is our entire fault; why we can’t move ahead and leave the past behind us, forget race, creed, color and gender.
Where do we go from here?
You know what? Greed has taken total control, America is falling simply because we want total control, but we must remember God is in control and He is watching. He promised us our needs not our wants.
We talk about jobs, economy and debt elimination. Who is to blame? We have not thought about how much money has been spent on Medicaid and food stamps for people of all races in the past eight or more years, some have never paid taxes.
We need to stop playing the name game! Think about what we can do to make things better for America and remember God created all things. We used to make our lives what it is today. He didn’t promise us the world.
How can the economy grow? There were millions of jobs shipped overseas for lower wages, never raising wages in America to help the less fortunate. Think about it. How can we get a job when there are no jobs available? We have funds to help produce more jobs, but won’t share dividends to help people get jobs in order for the economy to grow. We only think of self-preservation first.
We must remember we didn’t get where we are without the help of others. Stop! Look at yourself and see where we came from.
We need to stop asking why so many things are happening in America. God knows why and He is tired. Our trials have just begun. Just stop, look and listen. Believe it or not He has total control. We better wake up; it’s not the leaning tree that falls. Time is running out. Fortune and fame will pass, but prayer is the answer.
