Notice is hereby given that, as part of the consolidation of all of the subsidiaries of South Banking Company, Peoples State Bank and Trust, 72 E. Parker Street, Baxley, Georgia 31513, has made application to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for its written consent to merge with Citizens State Bank, 201 E. King Avenue, Kingsland, Camden County, Georgia 31548. Peoples State Bank and Trust will be the surviving bank after the merger and shall continue under the name ?Peoples State Bank and Trust. It is contemplated that all offices of the banks will continue to operate upon consummation of the merger.
Any person wishing to comment on this application may file his or her comments in writing with the Regional Director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation at its regional office located at 10 Tenth Street, NE, Suite 800, Atlanta, Georgia 30309-3906, not later than January 15, 2012. The non-confidential portions of the application are on file at the Regional Office and are available for public inspection during regular business hours. Photocopies of the non-confidential portions of the application file will be made available upon request.
