James Hall
James Hall, 78, died Thursday, January 5, 2012. James was born Oct. 10, 1933 in Appling County to the late James Harrell Hall and the late Margeret Rennie Vaughn Hall. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife, Dena Hall, son, Benjie Mincey; granddaughter, Penny Rebecca Turner; grandsons, Stacey Carter and Chris Turner, brother, Jack Hall and sister, Mary Ann Walker.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Ronnie Turner, Jane Morris and Janet and Curtis Forehand, all of Baxley; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Samantha Hall of Baxley and Dane Mincey; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Ezra Varnadore of Baxley, Loreen and Raymond Davis of Hazlehurst and Katie and Earl Herrington of Orange Park, FL; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survives.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Revs. Rilene Folsom and John Hutto officiating. Interment followed in Omega Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Woody Folsom, Jeff Andrews, Michael Shipes, Kirk Evans, Billy Wright and Levi Wright.
Honorary pallbearers were all family and friends in attendance.
Musical selections were rendered by Brandi Harvey and Bobby and Ann Jones.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.

Am so very sorry for your loss. Mr. James was a wonderful man. He and Mrs. Hall were very involved with their son Jamie in Boy Scouts and was even a den leader with us. He was a good friend. He will be dearly missed.
