Edna O’Quinn Lee, 88, of Bristol, died Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Pavilion in Baxley. Mrs. Lee was born May 23, 1923 in Appling County to the late Benjamin Franklin O’Quinn and the late Rosa Lee Carter O’Quinn. She was a member of Lake Chapel Progressive Primitive Baptist Church. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Hazle Brooks Lee.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Robert Vasquez of Jesup and Karen and Glynn Switzer of Baxley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Paulette Lee of Patterson and Edsel and Vicki Lee of Bristol; three sisters, Mary Kicklighter and Geneva Pope, both of Deland, FL and Aletha Randall of Elijay; one brother, Robert O’Quinn of Paisley, FL; nine grandchildren: Lauri Bailey, Maria (Lorne) Stipe, Stacey (Roger) Collier, Scott (Jennifer) Vasquez, Lisa Vasquez, Jeff (Tiffany) Switzer, Morgan (Alan) Harper, Logan Lee and Dustin Lee, including 11 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 at Lake Chapel Progressive Primitive Baptist Church with Elders, Steve Flowers, Mickey Durden and William “Bill” Durrence officiating. Interment followed in church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jeff Switzer, Scott Vasquez, Logan Lee, Dustin Lee, Alan Harper, Brooks Stipe and Jordan Collier.
