Pirate basketball teams play in BPC New Years tournament
The Appling County Pirate basketball teams played in the 2011 Brewton Parker College New Year’s High School Classic.
The Lady Pirates finished 2-1 in the tournament losing to the Bryan County Lady Redskins 46-52 on Decmeber 29, defeating Montgomery County Lady Eagles 63-36 on December 30 and defeating Trutlen Lady Vikings 50-35 on December 31. The Pirates picked up three wins defeating the Metter Tigers 74-54 on December 29, Cairo Syrupmakers 67-55 on December 30 and Trutlen Vikings 64-63 on December 31.
Zina Bryant, Briyanna Brantley of the Lady Pirates and Kevin Johnson of the Pirates were named to the All-Tournament Teams.
The Pirate teams will travel to Toombs County on Tuesday, January 3, host McIntosh County Academy on Friday, January 6 and visit Bacon County on Saturday January 7.
The Lady Pirate games are scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. with the Pirates to play after.

maybe in the next game we will get pic and some stats pic of the teams would really be cool
