The 2014 Appling County Recreation Department 13-14 Junior All-Star team won first place in the GRPA State Tournamanet completed in Baxley on Monday, July 14. Team members are Jason Ammons, Joshua Atkinson, Mikel Barlow, John David Black, Drew Dowdney, Price Eason, Hunter Griffin, Elljah Hale, James Jones, Hunter O’Berry, Micah Rentz, Holton Simmons, Tyler Thomason and Jakob Tomberlin. Coaches are Jay Powers, Aaron Kicklighter and Ken Thomason.

Midget All-Stars take second

The 2014 Appling County Recreation Department 11-12 Midget All-Star team placed second in the GRPA State Championship in Sylvania last week. Team members are Shaun Brown, Jake Carter, Ben Griffis, Dawson Harrelson, Thomas Higgins, Luke Hutchinson, Drew Jacobs, Bailey Nails, Memphis Nobles, Matthew Poblete, Jadarien Ryals and Eli Swain. Coaches are Heath Sellers and Jeffery Simmons.

The 2014 Appling County Recreation Department 9-10 Mite All-Stars finished third in state play in Adel last week. Team members are Logan Atkins, Michael Bass, Patrick Crosby, Jacob Gardner, Dawson Griffis, Jason Larsen, Aiden Livingston, Malachi Mullis, Jordan Norris, Beau-Grayson Peacock, Harrison Simmons, Rhett Stone and Brayden Vaughn.
