Appling County has witnessed a plentiful amount of rainfall this year. In fact according to one report the community has already surpassed its annual average for rainfall in 2013, which is around 47 inches per year, and we still have approximately 120 days remaining in the current year. The good news is this heavy amount of rain has improved the water table in the area. The bad news, roadways have been decimated in areas and the City of Baxley’s drainage system has been worked to the max at times.
