The following are highlights of incidents that were handled by officers of the Baxley Police Department over the past few days.
On April 5 at approximately 9:47 p.m., answered a call to Jumpin Jacks Convenience Store in reference to a suspicious person. On arrival officers met with the clerk who told them that a subject had been hanging around acting suspicious. Upon officers questioning the subject, they discovered that the man was wanted by the Baxley Police Department for a failure to appear. As officers were patting him down, prior to transport, they seized a drug pipe off of his person. Arrested in connection with this seizure was Daniel A. McKenzie, 32, of Baxley, on charges of one count each failure to appear and possession of a drug related object.
