People who own a small business or are thinking of opening one can receive free, confidential consulting on business management and organization, taxes and licensing, accounting, marketing, financing and other topics. The one-hour consulting sessions will be offered Thursday, February 16, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Baxley/Appling County Chamber of Commerce located at 305 West Parker Street. Professional business consultant David Lewis, and director of the University of Georgia Business Outreach Services office, will offer the sessions. The consulting he said, can help owners of new and existing businesses solve problems. Lewis can also help existing owners prevent problems by doing a complete business analysis. The analysis would start in a one-hour session and continue with business visits and reports.
