The Appling County Pirates traveled to Long County to face the Blue Tide (0-8, 0-5) on Friday, October 21 and were able to get the Region 2AA win 38-8. The Pirates improve to 8-0 on the season and 5-0 in region play. The Pirates will host the Vidalia Indians (5-3, 2-3) on Friday, October 28 for Senior Night with the game scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
Everyone is also encouraged to wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness during the game against the Vidalia Indians. [Full Story »]

Appling School System receives “Accredited with Quality” from Georgia Accrediting Commission
Appling County School System received notification that all schools in the district had been “Accredited with Quality” from the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC). Altamaha Elementary, Appling Elementary, Appling Primary, Fourth District, Appling Middle School and Appling High School were all recognized by the Board of Education and Superintendent Scarlett Copeland on October 17, for this outstanding honor.
