Elmira H. Miles, 84, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Pavilion. Ms. Miles was born Sept. 21, 1926 in Alma to the late James Frank Heyman and the late Nanette Waters Heyman and had lived in Baxley most of her life. She was the owner and operator of AAA Propane Gas, Inc. at 18 Anthony Street, Baxley. Elmira was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. E. Miles. Rozzie S. Cook, 91, died Friday, May 20, 2011 at her son’s residence in Kathleen. Ms. Cook was a native of Pierce County and had resided in Baxley for 40 years. She was retired from Phillips Van Heusen and she was a homemaker. Ms. Cook was a member of Friendship Congregational Christian Church. Rozzie was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar N. Cook.
