Appling Christian Eagles Advance in the Playoffs
This past weekend the ACA baseball team won two of three games against the Barnes Academy Vikings. The Eagles dropped game one by a five to four score. The Eagles failed to score in the first inning but gave up the only earned run the Vikings would manage in the game. In the second inning two errors by the Eagles coupled with three walks would net the Vikings four more runs.

National Day of Prayer to be observed Thursday
Thursday, May 5 is the National Day of Prayer. Appling County will have a prayer breakfast at 7:00 a.m., on May 5, at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. A ceremony will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Appling County Annex Building on Tippins Street. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend and join in prayer for our city, county, state and country.
