Two students from Appling County Middle School choral department were selected from choral students across the state to participate in the 2011 GMEA All-State Middle School Treble Chorus. Students from choral departments throughout the state auditioned for a chance to participate in the all-state choir. The audition included: solo, sight reading, scales and a written and aural music theory test. From this audition the students were selected to the second round of auditions, which includes passing off six choral pieces. Morgan Brantley and Ashton Davis passed both auditions and were selected to participate in the Middle School Treble Chorus. [Full Story »]
