The City of Baxley will hold a Called Meeting on January 10, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 282 E. Parker Street, Baxley, Georgia. The primary purpose of the Called Meeting is a public hearing as well as any other business that may come before the Mayor and Council. The public hearing will offer opportunities for comments on an application for annexation on the proposed zoning Residential (R-20), on property owned by Bonnie R. Beecher, located at 473 Palmetto Circle. Legal description as follows:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot No. 381, Second Land District of Appling County, Georgia, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the South right of way of Woodland Drive. This point being North 89 degrees 48' East a distance of 1500 feet from the South right of way intersection of Woodland Drive with the West right of way intersection of the Ben Carter Highway; thence running from POINT OF BEGINNING North 89 degrees 48' East along the South right of way of Woodland Drive for a distance of 300 feet; thence running South 01 degrees 50' East a distance of 150 feet; thence running South 89 degrees 48' West for a distance of 300 feet; thence running North 01 degrees 50' West a distance of 150 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
The above described property being all of Lots Two (2) and Three (3) of Whispering Pines Subdivision and being bounded: North by Woodland Drive; East by property of Ashley and Sandra C. Smiley; South by property of Morris Industries, Inc.; and West by property of Morris Industries, Inc.
