Timothy S. Howell, 39, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at his mother’s residence on Bethel Road in Surrency. Timothy was born in St. Mary’s on April 14, 1972 and had resided in Crestview, FL for the past five years. He had worked in the maintenance department with the Okaloosa County Detention Center.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Howell of Crestview, FL; one daughter, Windy Kay Howell of Crestview, FL; two sons, Tyler and Austin Headley of Fort Walton, FL; sons, Tyler and Taylor Avery; his mother and step-father, Maxine and Bobby Sam Brown, Sr. of Surrency; his father and step-mother, Charles Edwin and Shirley Howell of Woodbine; one brother, John Charles Howell and wife, Kyong of Augusta; two step-brothers, Bobby Sam Brown, Jr. of Fernandina Beach, FL and Eric Otho Brown of Wilmington, N.C.; one step-sister, Robin Elizabeth Parker of Wilmington, N.C.; and several aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 noon Saturday, Dec. 3 at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Holland and the Rev. Tommy Sikes officiating. Interment followed in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Robbie Beecher, Frank Hunter, Jason Pearce, Emmett Walsh, David Brown, Michael Deen and Frank Hunter.
Musical selections were rendered by Harmony Baptist Church Choir, Daphene Holland and Sandy.
Arrangements were under the direction of David E. Miles Funeral Home.
