Lady Pirates defeat Bacon County, Wayne County Game rescheduled

The Appling County Lady Pirates defeated rival Bacon County 43-40. Trailing at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Pirates rallied defensively to gain the lead.╩ However, the score remained close throughout the entire game as the Lady Pirates and Lady Raiders exchanged baskets.

Sophomore Mikela Barlow led the Lady Pirates with 13 points with Senior Zina Bryant chipping in 11 points.╩ Down the stretch freshman Jena Vann stepped up with three game-changing steals to secure the Lady Pirate victory.

Due to football playoffs, Saturday's home contest versus Wayne County has been postponed to December 20th.
