Appling County and the cities of Baxley, Surrency and Graham propose to amend the Joint Appling County Solid Waste Management Plan 2018 adopted in 2008. The primary purpose of the amendment is to define the areas in the county in which a landfill may be located, and to require compliance with environmental regulations, the Appling County Joint Comprehensive Plan and public hearing requirements.
The proposed amendment will be addressed: by Appling County at its December 6, 2011 meeting; by City of Baxley at its December 13, 2011 meeting; by Town of Surrency at its December 6, 2011 meeting; and by City of Graham at its November 28, 2011 meeting.
