Virginia Hamm, 67, of Graham, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. Mrs. Hamm was born in Jesup but had lived most of her life in Graham. She was the daughter of the late Emmett Mack Moody and Vivian Combs Moody and the wife of the late John (Pee Wee) Hamm. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawton Moody and a sister, Ann Bowyer. Virginia was an activity coordinator at the Appling Nursing and Rehabilitation Pavilion.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Ginger Jones of Waynesville and Willie Jones and Crystal Carter of Hazlehurst; one sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Charles Hubbard of Baxley; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Emmet and Betty Moody of Surrency and Issac and Brenda Moody of Hazlehurst; one brother-in-law, Gene Bowyer of Baxley and several others also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14 in the chapel of Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst with the Rev. Gary Conger and the Rev. David Griffin officiating. Burial followed in Graham United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ed Rentz, Ross Taylor, Jeffery Simmons, Rosco Hutchinson, Trampus Carter and Wade Moody.
Honorary pallbearers were Pavilion employees, Jackie Rentz, Dot Carter and Mary Joiner.
Musical selections were rendered by Donna Gray, Linda Ogden, Martha Fletcher, Christine Shuman, Lacae Smith, Willie Herrin and Lucille White.
Arrangements were under the direction of Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.
