JoAnn Russell Mock, 67, of Surrency, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. JoAnn was born Dec. 21, 1943 and resided in Appling County since 1984. She was a member of EL Shaddai Revival Worship Center. Ms. Mock was employed by the Pavilion as a nurse.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Lorrie and Joe Pucciariello of Baxley and Patty Frye of Rockbridge, OH; one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Jenny Mock of Surrency; nine grandchildren, Jordan (Kimberly) Pucciarello, Brittany Pucciariello, Philip Pucciariello, Nicky (Gary) Caron, Bobby Frye, Zach Nicholson, Jasmine (Jeremiah) Nicholson, Tillman Mock and Lilly Mock.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor Ila Mae McLeighton and the Rev. Tommy Daniels officiating. Interment followed in Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Extension Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Josh Branch, Jerrod Quinn, Jessie Tillman, Gary Caron, Jordan Pucciarello, Philip Pucciarello and Ricky Darsey.
Honorary pallbearers were special friends, Erika and Benny Herrin, Pastors Randy and Agnes Sellers and JoAnn Chambers.
Musical selections were rendered by Floyd Hunter.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
