Dollie Mae Sirmans, 64, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia following an extended illness. Mrs. Sirmans was born July 19, 1946 in Homerville to the late Frank Morrell and Sarah Beckham Morrell. She had worked at Brockway Standard and she attended the Argyle Church of God. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rose Baxley and brother, James Morrell.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Clayton and Eleuterio Castillo of Baxley; two sons: Allen Youngblood of Homerville, Jack Youngblood of West Thompson; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Joann and Robert Gilbert and Janie and Tiny Griffis of Homerville, Barbara and Mike Hersey of Alma and Betty Sue Baker of Homerville; two brothers, Larry and Minnie Morrell of Homerville, Terry and Ginger Morrell of Pearson; a special nephew, Bobby Gilbert; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several other relatives.
Services for Mrs. Sirmans were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 11 in the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home of Homerville.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 10 from 7:00 until 9:00 at Roundtree Funeral Home Home. Interment followed at Lang Cemetery.
