Kelli Sue Carter
Kelli Sue Carter, 26, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011. Ms. Carter was a native and lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County. She was the daughter of Darlene Carter and late Wayne Rowell. Kelli Sue was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jackie Griffin, Dorothy Phillips and Jimmy Lee Carter. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Kobey Hartley of Hazlehurst; one son, Kaden Kauger of Hazlehurst; her mother, Darlene Carter of Hazlehurst; one brother, Matthew Rowell of Hazlehurst; two half-sisters, Kaycie and Katelyn Rowell, both of Hazlehurst; one half-brother, Josh Rowell of Hazlehurst; grandparents, Jr. and Wilma Rowell of Hazlehurst and several other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 in the chapel of Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.
The Rev. Terry Taylor officiated with burial in Zoar Cemetery in Appling County.
Active pallbearers were Doug Mock, Brett Rish, Dustin Farmer, Dan Rowell, Josh Coleman and James Gardner.
Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst was in charge of arrangements.
